The year is going to end and the makers of are ready for some launches of the year in November. Around five cars will get launched few weeks. So buckle up for some great launches of the year.
Let’s take a look….
1. Maruti Suzuki Celerio X
The Celerio X is a fresh version of the latterly facelifted hatchback. It will be more muscular and stylistic than the earlier version. From the outside, it will get a puffed up bumper for both front and rear ones and an additional cladding. A major change from the inside is the dual-toned interior. It will use a 1 liter-3 cylinder petrol engine with manual gearbox and an automatic option. It will be more premium than the earlier one. Bookings are now open, with the launch set to happen within the next few days.
2. Ford EcoSport Facelift
The Ford EcoSport Facelift gets cosmetic upgrades including a larger front grille, revised headlamps, and reworked bumper. The pint-sized Ford SUV will also get new alloy wheels, re-profiled tail lamps, and beefier rear bumper. Inside, the cabin will sport a new touchscreen infotainment system while the dashboard will also see updates. The updates should keep the EcoSport popular amidst rivals. Engine options will remain the same with the 1-litre EcoBoost, 1.5-litre petrol Ti-VCT, and TDCi diesel options. It is likely to get launched on 9th of November.
3. Renault Captur
The all-new Renault Kaptur is a long-awaited upcoming car in India and a completely different model when compared to the Captur subcompact crossover sold in the European market. The styling, however, is very European and comes with the V-shaped grille up front and the massive Renault diamond. The rear profile, on the other hand, gets a raked windscreen with a roof spoiler and wraparound tail lamps. We expect the familiar 1.5-litre dCi four-cylinder diesel engine to make its way into the Kaptur and that will be available in the 108 bhp version with 245 Nm of torque on offer. The oil burner will come paired to a 6-speed manual transmission, while Renault is likely to offer the Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) gearbox on the SUV, given its premium position, instead of the Easy-R AMT unit seen on the Duster. It will be launched on 6th of November.
4. Mahindra Scorpio Facelift
Mahindra will give the Scorpio a minor nip and tuck to make it look fresher. The bigger change will be under the hood, where the Scorpio will get a 2.2-Liter mHawk turbo diesel engine with 140 Bhp and 330 Nm on tap – a tune similar to that on the XUV500. Apart from a manual gearbox, the Scorpio could also be offered with a 6-speed AISIN torque converter automatic gearbox, a feature that was dropped earlier. The SUV will be launched in the middle of November. Prices (9.93 lakhs to 15.56 lakhs) are expected to remain more or less unchanged from those of the current version.
5. Mercedes Benz CLA 45 AMG
Mercedes Benz will re-launch the CLA 45 AMG high-performance sedan in India, on the 7th of November. This car’s 2017 edition will pack in a 2-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 375 Bhp and 475 Nm, enough to shame many sports cars. A 7-speed twin clutch automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system will be standard. The car will be imported through the completely built unit (CBU) route, with its price likely to be pegged at 70 lakh rupees.
